Sometime (I think) in 2001 I rediscovered the original four-track tape master of The Veg. It was not in great shape - playable but just barely. After re-splicing the leader back on and with what limited computer abilities and technologies I had at the time - I digitized each track separately (in real time). After some sonic alchemy was applied and things were reassembled I did a digital master on DAT tape, which you are now listening to. Additional sound shaping took place in June of 2012 to take out hiss and other things I never could figure out how to fix at the time.
It is interesting the differences between the original and this one all because of how it is mixed. All kinds of odd things stand out in this version that you can't hear at all in the original.
