In the liner notes of the CD I talk about a cassette only release I did called Cerebral Music Vol. One. It was my intent to release that collection which had been mastered on DAT in 1995, but when I put in the DAT tape to transfer it to my computer in 2009 I discovered it was blank except for this track. I include it mostly as an oddity, a survivor, as no copy of Cerebral Music exists to my knowledge*. Mike Hammer will probably tell you he couldn't play horn all that well at the time but then again I wasn't so great on drums either. We were going for mood, free jazz. If you listen carefully you can hear some tape bleed thru on the master tape which is why the vampires this was created for simply cannot dance to it. Also, a rare early recording of me on drums.


*UPDATE! A cassette tape copy of Cerebral Music Vol. One has been found! However, its in poor shape and sounds pretty awful. With hope, the search continues for a better dub....
